I have been on site testing the root ripper puling up tree roots and breaking and lifting a large area of concrete and can honestly say it is now one the best tools I have. The Root Ripper made the stump pulling so much easier and the concrete lifting was a doddle as the tine slipped right under and increased the leverage of the digger and using it with the thumb meant once the tine was under it clamped the concrete to the thumb and then straight and safely into the dumper, no expensive breakers required. This listing is to cover from micro diggers up to 14t machines, please choose the option appropriate for your machine from the drop down box when ordering. New high tensile pins are supplied with the Root Ripper. All RSL grabs and attachments are fully tested and are provided with fitting, care and best usage instructions and have a CE declaration of conformity. The advantage of the Root Ripper is being able to tackle all sizes of tree stumps more efficiently. Small stumps can be rooted out by ripping the tine under it as the tine will go between roots unlike buckets and larger stumps can be ripped to pieces by literally pulling chunks off it enabling you to get at the roots and tap root in the middle which always hangs on just when you think your nearly there! . When you encounter tough thick roots instead of blunting all your tools and saws in the earth just drag the strong ripper blade through that’s mounted on the rear of the tine and saw your way through using the weight and power of your machine to rip saw the roots in no time. Even though the tine is biased towards forestry and landscaping the tine is strong enough to be used for general ripping, the rear saw blade can be removed for this purpose. The tooth and saw blade are High Tensile and both are replaceable. All our products are heavy duty and made in our facilities and from quality materials. All pins and bushes are made from high tensile steel. We prefer to stick with the single large braced grab fork as we believe the design is stronger than the multi tine thumb grabs as there is little to no twisting force applied and there is improved visibility when folded back out the way or in work. This is our Hydraulic Midi Digger grab suitable for 1.5t – 2.5ton excavators. Fork lengths are from 415mm – 600mm long. (660mm is an option that is shown on another listing) The grab is superbly designed and engineered and super strong, all pin points are bushed and have greasers VAT is included in the price and vat receipt will be sent out with the item. The wide thumb grab shown in two pictures is an optional extra The price shown does not include this spec. The grab is supplied with 2 pipes 800mm long with 3/8inch male ends for you to either plumb directly or to add your own quick couplers depending on the type your machine has. Your machine will need to have a double acting service to operate this. If you digger is not piped then the grab can be tee’d into the bucket ram and 3 way valves added. (3 way valves and couplers can be supplied at extra cost) Alternatively see our listing for the manual version. The RSL Thumb Grab excels at logging work/ brash and waste clearance and demolition clearance and sorting and safe loading of dumpers as you can place heavy items carefully. For a small outlay this grab will be around to help you out for a long time and is there when you need it as it is always on the machine unlike the 3 + 2 grapples. The grab can be removed by pulling 2 pins, just leaving the main feet welded to the dipper. The grab is very simple to fit, just weld the item onto the end of your dipper arm (instructions included).
