Same Day Dispatch (Order by 1pm Mon – Fri). We can provide VAT invoices. Choose your amount of bags using the drop-down menu. Agritel Gravel Bags – very useful for holding covers and sheeting in place. A variety of uses. They can be used to hold silage clamp covers in place and can be used as a ballast for Toptex Hay and Straw Covers. Each gravel bag is supplied with a draw tie and needs to be filled with stone/gravel. When filled with pea gravel, they will weigh around 12kg. The bag remains soft, resistant and flexible once filled, helping to create an airtight seal around the silage clamp. Bags will not retain water so don’t freeze, and hold their weight and shape. Please note bags must be filled with gravel/stone and not sand! Much easier to work with than a smelly old tyre! Fillable area: 960mm x 210mm. Large orders may be dispatched on a pallet. Please use the drop-down menu to choose your desired size. Same-day dispatch on orders placed before 1PM (Mon-Fri). Agritel Hay and Straw Covers – Toptex. Is a strong but light synthetic agricultural packaging fabric for covering stacks of baled crops in the field or grain in storage. Excellent water-shedding properties combined with air and vapour permeability keep crops dry while allowing them to breathe, preventing the build-up of condensation. Offers a simple and highly cost-effective means of storing baled hay or straw: no need to bring bales indoors! 100% UV stabilised agricultural packaging, with a minimum life expectancy of three years. It has high tensile strength and tear-resistance to withstand strong winds, and dries quickly – even after heavy rain – making it ideal for the challenges of the UK’s variable climate. For optimum performance, hay bale covers should be applied to a’roofed’ stack of bales with a minimum slope of 45 degrees. Are recommended for securing the hay tarp sheet. Fixing pins are simply driven straight through the material and into the bale underneath. Supplied and priced by the sheet. What our customers say. The Toptex worked really well for us and we stored around 200 bales under cover this year as a trial; this allows us to free up shed space for other enterprises rather than bale storage. To date the bales coming out of the stack are every bit as clean and dry as those which have been stored in a shed!! – Gavin Tait, R H Tait & Co. I bought 2 of your Toptex covers, one for covering straw at my farm, another for covering hay at my partners croft to feed horses. I usually wrap the bales with plastic, but that can cause sweating and eventually mould. But the cover has stopped that. Both covers survived the recent storm Otto, winds were measured here at around 70 mph. But both covers are still in one piece. Stephen Duncan, Banff, Aberdeenshire. Large orders may be dispatched on a pallet. AB10-16, 21-25, 32 6, 39 2. AB30, 32, 41-44, 51, 99. PH10, 11, 13, 14.
