The Frost free Stand Pipe tap offers immediate water flow even in freezing temperatures and can be used for many applications, whether it be for watering horses and livestock in the yard or out in the fields, cleaning equipment or tools, even garden and lawn care. The shut-off valve for the standpipe is below the frost line when installed properly, which allows the water in the standpipe to drain out a hole in the valve body. When the standpipe is shut-off, and all devices removed from nozzle, the standpipe will drain and not freeze and be ready to produce running water whatever the weather! Head & Handle: Ductile iron.
