WINGET 42 Series lll single cylinder diesel TRACTOR. The Winget four-wheel garden tractor was made at Gloucester by Slater & England, a company better known for its dumpers and concrete mixers. The tractor was powered by a 7.75bhp air-cooled Lister SR1 direct-injection diesel engine. Much was made of the economy of this engine, which used just 1.5 pints of fuel per hour. The specification included a three-forward and one-reverse Newage gearbox, adjustable wheel track and power take-off. The Winget 42 was introduced in 1966 with a choice of three models. The basic Series I tractor had a hand lift. Hydraulic linkage was fitted to the Series II, which was available. While the Series III came with hydraulic linkage and a front-end loader, which is fitted to this example. An immaculate presented example fitted with front loader, rear wheel weights, rear linkage and new tyres all round. Since then I stripped the tractor down and fully refurbished it. As you can see from the photos the tractor is in fantastic condition and is dry stored inside. Also fully refurbished topper, all in working order. Not sure how many of these rare tractors still in existence today. Also I have other rare vintage tractors available for sale, most are fully restored. The John Deere is a old restoration but still looking good. The other tractors I have is Massey FE35 complete strip down and pretty much new everything. Massey TEF20 same as above immaculate. Fordson super dexta as above immaculate. Please contact me if you require anymore information on any of the other tractors or implements I have.
