Ruston Hornsby- Model OK 10hp Petrol/Parrafin. Purchaced in 2012, this engine has spent all of its time stored in my fathers barn waiting for it to be shown. Unfortunately I never got round to it. Before storing, I had it running on fresh petrol having fired up after a few strokes of the flywheel. I also made contact with Mr Ray Hooley(Ruston expert) who supplied me with this engine’s history and relivent publications. The engine is mounted to a single axle, braked trailer in good condition. Mechanically, the large flywheel rotates freely, with lots of compression within the cylinder. There appears to be no sign of mechanical damage to the body or ancillaries. I would bet my shirt tail this engine would spring into life if fresh fuel was added. Overall this engine is a great example of a rare show piece in fabulous condition, waiting for a new owner to look after and cherish as it is getting harder to find examples like this these days. Due to the size of the flywheel and time spent in storage, it is being advertised requiring servicing before running. Open to sensible offers. Looking forward to hearing from you.
